N'IMPORTE QUOI (PERFORMANCE)

N importe quoi 1

N’IMPORTE QUOI (Or The Art of Dying)”

In order to explain N'Importe Quoi, we have to go back to my earlier show HELENAS...

HELENAS (of Troy, Ukraine, Santutxu...) is a theatrical piece where I combined different artistic languages, and for several moments I recurred to expressive codes belonging to what is usually understood as 'performance art'.

The show tries to deconstruct the myth of Helen of Troy by alternately focusing on Greek Mythology and documentary theatre. HELENAS presents first-person accounts of women stigmatized and blamed merely for the fact of being female.

So, out of HELENAS, N'Importe Quoi (or The Art of Dying) is born -- a performance which bypasses traditional dramaturgy and instead uses visual and poetic language to deal with the sexual violence wome suffer around the world, of the abuse of power, of the consequences of violence...

Sexual violence is an inherent part of the war experience. There is sexual violence in the street, and in the building where I live. You can find it in social networks. Sexual violence has ALWAYS been a part of our lives.

The creation process of N'Importe Quoi starts out in the summer of 2025, when a proposal is selected to the The Art of the Performance Festival in Copenhaguen, Denmark, which took place at the Metronomen cultural space.
